Federico Escalante Arquitectura is an architecture and design built firm founded in 1996, located in San Jose Costa Rica.  Federico EscalanteArquitectura works really close with clients to produce architectural excellence. 

The office follows 3 principals: first, what the architecture wants to be, second, what the site wants to be and third what nature wants to be.
With these principles, Federico Escalante Arquitectura has been producing a range of projects in the last years, ranging from residential projects, commercial, exhibition, hospitality to furniture and interior design.  Being a design built firm, Federico Escalante Arquitectura  maintains a creative dialogue between design, nature, materials and building process, all of them under constant studies and investigation.

Since 2008, Federico Escalante Arquitectura has been focusing on more responsible architecture through a better understanding of what bio climatic architecture is capable of.

With this ideology, Federico Escalante is one of the few firms in Costa Rica to follow LEED Certifications for its projects, being a member of USGBC since 2008.

The goal of Federico Escalante Arquitectura is to only create responsible architecture, using nature as the best guide to design and built.    Its principal, architect Federico Escalante has been studying and researching responsible architecture and urban ecology in Barcelona (UPC and CCCB) since the beginning of 2010.  This is quite important in a very drastic changing world.  We believe that architecture is a vital part in every human beign, and us as architects have a responsibility to protect our main source of architecture which is Nature.
